I know its been a while and my blogging has become infrequent but thats life! I have been caught up with uni and O-week!!!

Back at Menzies - O-Week BEGINS!!!

After a long drive a few coffees and a hell of alot of traffic lights later I finally arrived back at Robert Menzies College. Its so awesome to be back!!!! I am so glad to be here! Went to TCM this evening and it was awesome... I am writing this amongst the mess that is currently my room... I have semi unpacked...GAH! unpacking the BANE of my existence!! But oh welsies it must be done or I will never get to bed! Anyways since I have a lot of things to do such as catch up with friends and ...damit unpack I must be going!

Okay here is a serious addiction I have... it got me through the HSC and the first year of uni and fills procrastination sessions whilst exercising my fingers. It is seriously addictive! I love it... although I go through fazes of playing almost 24/7 (bit of hyperbole) to not playing for weeks on end... I am 'fuzzy91' on Tetris and my avatar is a tetris block sheep! The disappointing thing is that over time that have increased advertising making you wait longer for games to load and now missions and some things you hafta buy... which really sucks! PAYING FOR TETRIS SUCKS!!! However the daily lottery is pretty rad... okay so you probably are like what the hell?!!!! WELL GO SIGN UP ITS AWESOME!!!

Magnum Egos

Magnum Egos are soooo AWESOME!!!! I love them! Favourite ice-cream! This stinking hot weather at the moment really makes me crave them.... ice-cream coated in a thin layer of chocolate then covered in thick oozing caramel sealed by a chocolate coat! Its just awesome!!!! Anyways tonight I am trying the magnum temptation... and well its not bad... rich to be sure... but I will remain a faithful follower of the magnum ego for it is divine in taste and appearance not to mention bigger and cheaper!!!! $4.40 for the magnum temptation!!! thats ridiculous!!!!!! silly silly silly!!! I also do not mind the magnum gold... it is simple and delicious... the honeycomb ice-cream centre is delightful however the exterior is not as great whilst nice it has a bitof a cardboard taste and and vanilla taste is n0t completely justified. Yum, Yum, Yum I could eat a sink full of magnum!!!! Anyways that is all tonight! so do yourself a favor and go out and get yourself a magnum ego cause if you have not had one you have no idea what you are missing out on!!!

On Youtube people seem to be so critical of this remix but I reckon its awesome... I mean seriously its brilliant... it may be an original idea something that anyone could do but so are most brilliant ideas. Better late than never... then again better not at all...

So it is February and summer has decided to kick in!!! Summer has been mostly rainy, cold and miserable with floods everywhere particularly in Queensland. In fact I thought summer had just slept through and decided not to show its unbearable heat BUT NO! Here I lie in bed boiling hot even with the air conditioner on drenched in my own sweat! (sorry but its true!).

Oh summer how I wish you have never come... whats worse is the prediction that it will stay like this!!! gah!!! save me! And I go back to uni soon to a top floor room that only has a flimsy fan!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is really all I can say. :(

On another note I saw the 'King's Speech' and just would like to say how AWESOME IT WAS! Brilliant film! Brilliant cast! JUST BLOODY BRILLIANT!!! Colin Firth did a fine performance... more than fine terrific actually!! I will be so annoyed if he does not get best actor at the oscars!!!

Well I think that that will be all tonight I will resume my position in bed and hopefully get some sleep!!!!!

Roy Morgan's Ultimate Survey

Okay so I was digging through some of my old stuff today and I found this computer program that I thought I had lost as I had not seen it in years and searched for it often, its called 'Ultimate Survey' and was put together by Roy Morgan Research (www.roymorgan.com.au). The game is actually enlightening and at times very funny... Basically you pick a season (summer, winter, autumn or spring), a character (female viking, alien, Guy in a severe amount of amour or an old man) and then the length of the maze you wish to complete (small, medium or large)... You begin the game and the aim is to complete the maze but as you go you come across question marks which display questions that you have to answer... anyways the results can be quite strange!!!!

Apparently I am...

mean, patient, antisocial, anthropophobic (fear of people), dumb, disliked, retiring, solitudious, courteous, browsing person.

so yes... I bet you totally want to know me now right?!?!!!! I have no idea why it thinks I am mean it may have something to do with the question regarding 'if someone made you an awful cup of coffee you would A) drink it anyway b) leave it there till it gets cold and not drink it C) cough and splutter and make a scene' and I said b! I think it also decided that I am 'retiring' cause I said I liked Classical and Religious music and go to church regularly. The disliked comes from the funeral question I think they asked how many peeps I thought would be at my funeral if I died today A)thousands B) close friends and family C) few hundred and I said B!

Oh well it is enlightening in a cutting and blunt kinda way!

MAC IS TAKING OVER!!

My rents recently purchased a Mac and well guess what? it arrived yesterday and guess who was forced to set it up?? YEP me! cause I am technologically savy! Its very exciting! WOOT WOOT!

Anyways so here I am all set up typing from the newly purchased mac!!! I am a convert and will definitely buy one of these for uni after my current laptop dies a horrid death within the next 12 months... LOVEEEE MAC WOOT! Since I am a student and the mac was purchased through me we got a free itouch! woot and my rents gave it to me... so yay! not that I really need it since I already have an ipod classic which does me fine... but oh wellsies!!!

Anyways I must be off! That is all I have to share todaysies!!! :)

SUBJECTS for 2011

This year at Uni I will be taking on a myriad of things!! Here is what I am studying...

first semester I will embark on a journey into the uncharted waters of Information and Communication Technologies and Education which is a) a mouthful and b) probably not as exciting as it sounds!!!! I will Approach literature that is written in English and be introduced to Creative writing while icing all these experiences with European History from the french revolution to fascism!!!!
Second Semester will force me to learn about education and go into the depths of cognitive development followed by a touch of war and peace in World history... I will then set sale for Modern Europe (although I am pretty sure I will be already located there) where I will entice my brain with religious reform and conflict! Once the Church has been sorted out I will then include myself in conversations about inclusive education! before jumping in my time machine to check out the Ancient world with a focus on Pagans, Christians and Jews that tend to reside in Athens and Jerusalem!

SO! There you have it! Much excitement! ;)

INVASION DAY

Okay... so Today it is the 26th of January... and cause I live in Australia that means it is a public holiday due to the fact that it is 'Australia Day.'
Australia day celebrates Captains James Cooks discovery of Australia...

I would now like to say I HATE 'AUSTRALIA DAY' I mean it celebrates the invasion of Australia where white people came and took over!!!!!!! (NO I AM NOT BIAS AS I AM A WHITE AUSTRALIAN)... It should be renamed ' INVASION DAY' in my opinion!!!! BECAUSE THATS WHAT IT IS SO TELL IT LIKE IT IS!!! oh and did I mention that Captain Cook was not the first to discover Australia?!!!!! after all the Aborigines were already here and not to mention the dutch had hit the top west side at one stage!!!!!

I MEAN SERIOUSLY!!! BUT wait there is more...we celebrate mateship! what it means to be Australian and blah!!!! HELLOOO MATESHIP IS a term from WWI used between soldiers it has nothing to do with our Cook friend!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!! Not to mention it excludes half the population because it also has ZILCH to do with women!!!!! What it means to be Australian is also convoluted... as we are diverse and supposedly multicultural... it is true that 'from all the lands on earth we come.'

Why does this country celebrate a day that causes pain for indigenous peoples because of the history and excludes all people that are not WHITE with some sort of EUROPEAN decent!
And what does the day mean for people anyway??? usually equates to drinking way to much then traffic accidents from drunks... people acting like complete lunatics and bumming around!!!!

If we are going to celebrate something I think the day Captain Cook 'discovered' Australia is the wrong day! Why don't we celebrate the day we federated? or if not the day at least the year we federated... that was an important part of Australian history... and not as much of a sore point.

some people say but its a great day to get family together and what not... and okay fair enough but then why don't we have a 'family day' instead?!

That is my rant for the evening!

burritos

hello my trustworthy readers... At the moment i am hanging out with my chum Francesca. Somehow we got onto burritos...(it was all Francesca's idea!!!) and consequently I am now starving for a burrito!!!
I will now take this opportunity to tell you about my favourite types of Burritos

The BREAKFAST BURRITO is an epic combination of AWESOMENESS and BEAUTY wrapped up for the happiness of all mankind!!!!!
I have two favourite Breakfast Burritos...
The first usually contains:

• Sour Cream
• Sweet Chilli Sauce
• 2 Bacon Rashes
• Scrambled Eggs
• Cheese
  

The Second:

• BBQ Sauce
• 2 Bacon Rashes
• Egg
  
• Cheese

Normal Burritos that satisfy hunger during the periods of lunch and dinner often result in containing some or all of the following ingredients:

• Chicken
• Cheese
• Lettuce
• Avocado
• Sour Cream
• Sweet Chilli Sauce
• BBQ Sauce
• Tomato
• Bacon
• Mince
• Black Beans
• AND MORE (nothing else comes to mind right at this critical moment of my life)

so there you have it my burrito rant... I am now officially starving for burritos... and the whole affair is making me rather depressed as I have not the means or resources of acquiring a burrito during this crucial hour of need.

I Appreciate Technology and Fruit

Hello is there anybody out there?!!!

Today I am joined by... lets call her Francesca. Francesca is a huge fan of purple dinosaurs... I however much prefer the little yellow ones. So I am on my summer uni break right? and I am bored, bored, bored!!! this has made me resort to hanging out with Francesca...jokes... I kinda like Francesca warts and all! Anyways enough on Francesca we are making her self-conscious.

As a uni student I have many occupations...(as I have to scrounge money from wherever I can!) one such occupation is being a Secret Shopper!!! WOO HOOO!! Basically this job entails going to a shop and critiquing what they sell and their presentation in general and getting paid to do so!!!!! I work mainly in food... so this morning I along with Francesca and Stan (Stan is my brother however don't try hunting him down as Stan is not his real name mwahahahaha)...went to the Coffee Club to do one such critique! Twas lots of fun! I will not bore you with the details... just be comforted that we have been well fed!

Our adventures today also resulted in the purchase of a strobe light, a glitter lava lamp and a container full of gumballs!!!! IMPULSE SHOPPING GOTTA LOVE IT!

Although I did buy a laptop cooling pad... highly useful as it is keeping my computer (his name is Ben) cool and content there has been no overheating thus far!

OHHHHHH here, my major annoyance for the day! Last night right?!!! I was soooo tired so i decided to go to bed at like 10pm and guess what?!!!!! I am just falling off to sleep and my phone starts buzzing and singing Captain Planet my annoying older brother (lets call him ... Claudius) has tried to message my poor decrepit phone images of who knows what with his supersonic new iphone. So not only did he disturb me from my peaceful slumber but he also gave my poor little LG phone a heart-attache or maybe a stroke phone doctors are way to expensive these days... but never fear my LG survived the ordeal and require constant nursing throughout the night.

Anyways adios my cherubs I must leave you now with that disturbing, upsetting and deeply moving story!!

oKaY! So a bit about me...

I am located in the land downunder!!! I'm a university student... which is loads of fun, fun, fun!!! I am going into my second year woot woot! (soooo exciting!!!) I'm studying Bachelor of Arts with the Diploma of Education at Macquarie University in Sydney. I'm doing a double major in Ancient and Modern History!! Currently on summer break which is awesome!

I like speculative fiction... All of Tolkien's works, Star Wars, Chronicles of Narnia, Harry Potter... The Silmarillion by J.R.R Tolkien is my favourite work.

I love watching movies and reading books... fun fun fun!!! (okay I admit it I am a tad nerdy). Currently though I am working my way through the 7 Season of Gilmore Girls!!!!! YAY!

I have extremely fuzzy hair its insane kinda afro-ie!!! I am pretty AWESOME most of my peeps cannot cope with the sheer AWESOMENESS I display so often...jokes...but seriously... :P

Firstly I would like to say I like schnitzel ... now that that is out of the way I wish to inform you that I am starting to use my blog properly! Why you would read such woeful whining I do not know! BUT I can assure I will whine, whine, whine! Woo hoo! my friend we will call her rosey (as she does not wish to be named) does not believe or understand the concept or reason for blogs but hey ignorance is bliss and she will die that way... my other friend (who also probably wishes to remain nameless and have her contact details excluded from the conversation [though i have not asked her either one]) called Felt Pen (DONT READ INTO IT MAY TURN RESULTS!) is very concerned that the time is passed 12:30am whilst she doodles in her recently acquired sketchbook from mojo.
The last friend that has graced me with her company tonight (we will call her... hmmm) she-who-must-not-be-named or we could call her the elegant little teacup from beauty and the beast (she likes drinking tea) is unable to comment on the current situation as she has put herself to bed being the only sensible one among us.

Well that is all this evening once I have rested my posts may appear in a language known as english and be eligible for the minds comprehension.
